Biography:

Marianne D'Elia is a Winnipeg singer/songwriter whose passion for music began at a very early age. As a child, Marianne always knew she could sing. However, life took her down a different path before she began to seriously pursue a career in music. This did not happen until later on, as an adult.

In 2004, Marianne began doing some studio work. In 2005, she began writing original material as well as performing.

Over the last few years, Marianne's unique voice has caught the attention of many audiences. Marianne has performed at various events throughout Winnipeg, entertaining corporate clients such as the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, the Winnipeg Humane Society, the National Insurance Brokers Association of Canada, Siloam Mission, Seven Oaks General Hospital, the Brandon Chamber of Commerce and Paterson Global Foods; for their 100th Anniversary tour which took her and her band to Alberta, Saskatchewan and rural Manitoba.

Marianne has performed at weddings (both ceremonies and dinner/dance receptions) along with various other private functions. Marianne has also been asked to sing the national anthems at Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball games. In addition, Marianne has appeared on Citi TV's Breakfast Television numerous times.

Working with some of Winnipeg’s finest musicians, Marianne performs many different genres of music including pop, jazz, rock and country. Marianne has also competed in some very worthwhile competitions. One of Marianne's biggest accomplishments to date has been winning the 99.1 Groove FM "Project Cool 2006" contest. As a winner, Marianne was awarded $25,000.00 to assist in the funding for recording, production and release of an original CD.

Since that contest win, Marianne has worked hard at developing her songs for her debut album, Stay Another Night. The album features a well-rounded collection of 12 original songs; all of which Marianne co-wrote. Her music falls into the category of adult contemporary laced with pop, jazz, Latin, and even some country influences.

Stay Another Night was released in Winnipeg on November 28, 2007. On January 29, 2008, the album was released across Canada.
